Eliot Spitzer resigns amid scandal, shame and…prosecution?

A key figure against Online Bingo as well as other forms of gambling,  Eliot Spitzer, is now the former Governor of New York.  He has plummeted immensely from his position on the moral high ground he took as a chief supporter of the United States’ UIGEA / Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Eliot Spitzer hounded caused much trouble for online gaming companies providing his “public service.”  After targeting prositution rings during his tenure as an A.G., he now gets taken down in a prostitution sting.

His resignation on March 12, 2008 will no doubt provide a few snickers and smiles in certain circles.
